"By way of explanation."

John Lennon described his Plastic Ono Band project back in 1969 as "a conceptual band": a creative core augmented in the studio and onstage by trusted and sympathetic players, who were free and encouraged to pursue their own projects.
You couldn't blame him: as anyone who has been in one can tell you, bands can be a pain in the ass. But they can also be a lot of fun.
And this: for pure sound and feel, the performances we remember come from those with a personal commitment to the music.

dreamwest began life as an acoustic duo, Bill & Jolanda. In February 2019 they opted to become dreamwest which, in comparison, "trips along softly on the tongue" (Shakespeare).
In September that year, they were joined by percussionist/vocalist Coen Spek. A week or so later, Coen's guitarist/vocalist (and twin) brother Michiel came on board.
(Followers of the Rotterdam music scene will recognize them as The Dutch Bacon Brothers.)

"As Stephen Stills might say, Coen and Michiel 'really know their onions' when it comes to music. They know the difference between rock & roll and rock, and  are equally at home with a samba or a shuffle. Fun to play with, a pleasure to know."
